She was being delusionalized by the sex she had with Damon and of course, the famous sire bond. Of course I’d love what is best for Stefan.. But he loves Elena, he has always loved Elena and that will never change. No matter what happens, his happiness rests with Elena. It’s heartbreaking, but true.

We need good ratings for this episode (5x18) guys. Don’t mind the 12 year old girls who wish their fave was like our fave.

“It’s just really nice to shoot such a nostalgic episode because Seasons 1, 2 ad 3 were my favorite seasons of the show. I was able to recreate some of that which was really nice.” (x)
Why do I have this feeling that Delena is just a conflict, another obstacle for Stefan and Elena’s happiness and their continuation of the relationship the had? Just as Damon’s mass murdering, Katherine’s threats, Klaus’ desire of a hybrid family and breaking the curse, her becoming a vampire, Esther’s plan to kill all of the originals including their bloodline, Silas, etc. Damon and Elena began as a sirebond, which prevented Stefan and Elena’s love story to continue where it began, where it was centric of nearly every episode of The Vampire Diaries, if you don’t agree with me then watch the first episode then come back :) That sire bond was put at a pause when Elena turned her humanity off and she made the worst choice in eternity. It just extends the conflict, Damon and Elena’s “relationship” is a problem it isn’t a solution nor is it closure or an ending. It is simply a blockade and prevention of the happiness of the main couple of the show, Stefan and Elena. That is why it is so centered around Damon and Elena because IT WILL blow up in both their faces and realization WILL occur. Destiny or not.
